Originally a city made by joining 7 islands bombay has reverted back to these islands – except instead of water we are surrounded by traffic now. Each area is its own island.
True metro buffets the traffic and the signals act as ports. It achieves its truest form during monsoons when buffeted by rains and high tides – the forgotten sea rises up again.
